Nissan has announced three world debuts for the Paris motor show next month: the Nuvu concept, brand-new Pixo city car, and an updated Note.

The main attraction will be the Nuvu concept, a new electric city car targeted for the middle of the next decade. It features a unique 2+1 seating with a strange technology concept which includes leaf shaped solar panels on the roof that feed the battery through a ‘tree trunk’ conduit. Also, natural, organic and recycled material components are used inside the cabin. Nissan emphasizes the Nuvu is not the production-ready EV they announced would debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

Next is an affordable urban five-door four seater vehicle, the all-new Pixo. Based on Suzuki underpinnings, the three cylinder 1.0-litre engine will be built in Delhi, India and sales begin in spring 2009. The Pixo is targeted as a small eco-car with low fuel consumption and emissions, although equipped with an automatic transmission. The Pixo is 3565 mm long, 1470 mm tall and 1600 mm wide. It has a wheelbase of 2360 mm.

Lastly, the Note has received a facelift including a new design grille, front bumper and headlights plus new alloys and dark tinted tail lights. Inside the Note received a new instrument cluster and Nissan’s all-new nav/audio/info system, called Nissan Connect. Also, suspension gets firmer and under the hood a new 1.5-liter dCi engine.
