TVS launch - Apache's 180cc variant

imageThe south Indian motorcycle maker will be launching a new bike named Menace on Apache RTR's platform.

As Hero Honda and Bajaj continue to hog the limelight in the Indian motorcycle market, TVS is gearing up to give some serious competition. The south Indian firm's revenues during the last financial year were nothing to boast about. It is believed that this year TVS wants to turn the fortunes around by launching revved up models every six months, starting from the recently launched Apache RTR Fi.
According to speculations in the industry, next on the cards, is the TVS's most menacing model yet – the Menace 180cc. According to sources, the bike will be based on Apache RTR, of course with a face-lift. Sources also indicate that TVS is playing around with an even bigger and meaner Apache, which might sport a 200cc unit with features like the ABS.
Like most two-wheeler companies, TVS will cash on the festive season by launching the Menace during this Diwali. Yamaha FZ15 is scheduled to launch during the same time as well. Expect extra fireworks this Diwali, at least in the two-wheeler segment.
